Hi! I'm Kirstin Sylvester
Advocate for the First 1000 days | Foodie | Content Creator | Dog Mom | Entrepreneur

I understand the physical and emotional implications of disordered eating habits. When I stopped basing my self-worth on the scale and worked on improving my relationship with food and my body,
I was able to feel comfortable in my own skin.
I am passionate about optimal nutrition in the first 1000 days
(from conception to a child's second birthday) because it provides a unique window of opportunity in a child's development and ability to prosper. Investment in the first thousand days and the health of women, babies, and toddlers are fundamental in creating healthier, more prosperous futures for all.

My Approach
Deciding to come to see a dietitian is the first step towards building a healthier lifestyle. I understand that it can be a daunting process initially. However, being aware of a problem and having a desire to change your behaviour is an essential step in behaviour change.
To me, health encompasses a sense of complete physical, mental, social and emotional wellbeing. My approach to nutrition is holistic.
I understand that following a restrictive diet does not lead to a sense of health, happiness and contentment.

With our current food landscape, fast food available at the click of a button and conflicting nutrition messages readily available through the media, it can be confusing! I am here to empower you to start making the healthiest choice an easy one. I focus my sessions with clients on behaviour change ( it is vital to delve deep and ask yourself why you want to change!) and nutrition education. My aim as a dietitian is to help you achieve your health goals through self-love and education in a sustainable manner.

My office is a space for comfort, encouragement and inspiration - there is plenty of room at my table, and I'd love it if you joined.
